JAIPUR: The Rajasthan medical and health authorities have referred a suspected case of H1N1 (swine flu) to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) in Delhi. The suspected victim is a passenger who arrived at Sanganer airport here on Thursday morning by a flight from Dubai. If found positive, this would be the first case of H1N1 reported from Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Medical and Health Department Additional Director (Rural Health) B. R. Meena said the passenger, Rajesh, who belongs to Sikar district, was found with cough, sore throat and Rhinitis besides symptoms of general discomfort. The authorities came across the case during the now customary airport screening, he said. The throat swab sample of Rajesh has been sent to NICD. The report is awaited.
