BERHAMPUR: General public came face-to-face with modern technological research and development and future technocrats got concepts from school students at the five-day science promotion programme that concluded at Jagannath Institute of Technology and Management (JITM) at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district on Wednesday. Dhanada Mishra, Director of R&D of the institute, said the programme, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, was appropriate celebration of the National Science Day. A national conference on sustainable utilisation of resources was also held on the campus on February 24 and 25. The `Radio Jove Receiver', which was being used at the institute to study solar changes, was also on display. It was part of a project that the institute had taken up in collaboration with Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore.
