Kalpana, an exhibition by the final year students of applied art of the city-based B.K.College of Art and Craft, concluded at the Regional Centre of Lalit Kala Akademi here on Wednesday. The three-day show was inaugurated by the college principal and eminent painter Baladev Maharatha.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Maharatha maintained that the college authorities encourage the students of different departments and batches to host their exhibitions every year. Such shows help them to get feedback about their craft and creativity from the public, the critics, senior artists and the connoisseurs, he maintained.
Head of the department of applied art, Gajendra Kumar Padhi, who guided the students, informed that the participating students were asked to apply their creativity in the field of advertisement through the exhibition. The aspiring artists who exhibited their works at the group show included Suvendu Ghadai, Sudesna Patajoshi, Sasmita Swainand Jasobanta Jena.
