Pratapgarh: Six pilgrims were on Tuesday killed and about two dozen injured when a bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Dhakwa Bazar on Varanasi-Lucknow National Highway.

The incident occurred when the bus, carrying 63 pilgrims from 24 Parganas in West Bengal, was on its way to Ajmer Sharif, police said.

The deceased included three women, they said, adding all the injured have been admitted to the district hospital, where condition of four was stated to be critical.
