A team of the Justice M.B. Shah Commission, probing into the mega mining scam in the State, arrived in the city on Tuesday to hear the mining lease holders before finalising their report.

The Commission will hear the views of the mining lease holders over a period of three to four days from Wednesday after the arrival of Commission Chairman Justice Shah in the city.

“This time we will hear the views of the lessees on their mining activities. They have been served notices for the purpose,” said U. V. Singh, a member of the team on his arrival. The Commission, which paid several visits to the State in the past, has come on this visit again after the mine owners requested it to give them a chance to put forth their views on the allegations of large-scale illegal mining of iron ore and manganese.
