Lucknow: In a rare surgery, doctors of Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU) saved the life of a 27-year-old labourer after two iron rods pierced his body in an accident. Ramesh, who hails from Chattisgarh, fell from an under construction building in Vibhor Khand in Gomti Nagar colony and the iron rods pierced through the right side of his body, police said. While one rod pierced through his right lung, another one passed through his neck damaging muscles and nerves. After four-hour-long operation, doctors removed the bars.
