Yoga guru Baba Ramdev here on Saturday came down heavily on Congress led UPA government for its alleged inability to check large scale corruption and bring back black money hoarded outside the country.

“The government is not ready to disclose names of persons involved in channeling black money through Foreign Direct Investments and Participatory Notes into the country.

This is because since independence Congress has been in power except five or six years,” alleged Ramdev.

He said, “Congress had framed such laws which failed to be deterrent for looting of country’s resources. Besides, persons involved in corruption had fairly easy escape.”

“The banks which had facilitated stacking of black money outside India were invited to open their branches in the country. It made the task of persons involved in corruption easy. They did not have to go to foreign countries, they could deposit the black money right here,” the yoga guru charged.

Earlier, Ramdev met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence, ‘Nabin Niwas’ here.

He said BJD was going to play an important role in formation of next government. Reacting to allegations, State Congress said the yoga guru was himself facing major corruption charges.

He was trying to divert attention of people by levelling wild allegations.
