JAIPUR: Rajasthan Energy Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday said the power distribution network in the State was being improved to reduce the transmission and distribution losses to less than 20 per cent. Besides, super transformers were being installed to supply high voltage electricity to farmers.

Replying to supplementary questions during the Question Hour in the State Assembly, Mr. Singh said the 2.92 lakh super transformers installed so far across the State had improved the power situation to a significant extent. The demand for electricity at present stands at 13.50 crore units a day.
