Srinagar: In its drive against poppy cultivation, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday destroyed the banned crop spread over 14 acres of land in Pulwama district.

Special teams of police destroyed the crop spread over 14 acres of land at Ratsuna and Poshwan, 35 kms from here, in South Kashmir Pulwama district, a police spokesman said.

The drive launched early this month has resulted in destruction of poppy crop spread over 300 acres of land in Pulwama, Anantnag and Budgam districts of the valley.
