Decision after consulting local party workers, says Ramadoss

PUDUCHERRY: The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) will decide whether it should continue supporting the Congress government in the Union Territory, party founder S. Ramadoss said here on Sunday.

On whether the party would continue to extend support to the Congress government after its decision to come out of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-Congress combine to face the Parliamentary elections, he said a decision would be taken after consulting local workers of the PMK.

He was addressing a press conference after releasing a document showcasing the achievements of Member of Parliament M. Ramadass. The PMK has two elected members in the Legislative Assembly.

Listing out the achievements of Mr. Ramadass in the last five years, the PMK leader said that he had made significant contribution to the progress of the Union Territory.

He was one of the active Members of Parliament raising issues that concerned the common man.

On reports of the PMK seeking support of the Puducherry Munnetra Congress for its candidate in Puducherry, Dr. Ramadoss said all efforts would be made to get the support of the PMC.

Earlier, Secretary of Puducherry unit of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam A. Anbalagan and party MLA Om Sakthi Sekar met Dr. Ramadoss separately.
