Newly-elected members to hold first meeting on March 11, 12 and 13

BHUBANESWAR: Even as re-polling has not been conducted in as many as 14 booths in two gram panchayats in Jagatsinghour district, the State Election Commission on Tuesday announced that the panchayat election process had been completed in the State.

The two Zilla Parishad seats for which results were officially announced on Tuesday went to the Bharatiya Janata Party, taking the party's total number to 129.

Of the two seats for which results had not been announced, one was in Keonjhar district and the other in Jagatsinghpur.

The results for the Zilla Parishad seat in Keonjhar was likely to be announced on Wednesday after recounting of the votes polled, an Election Commission official said.
