Two movies – Dil tate deichi and Sasuraghara Zindabad – were censored recently
BHUBANESWAR: The Oriya film industry has reasons to rejoice. For the first time it is set to enter the Limca Book of Records for having approval of censorship of two films by the same producer, director, cinematographer and hero.
The two movies – Dil tate deichi and Sasuraghara Zindabad – were censored recently at the Prasad Kalinga Film Lab in the Capital and would be release next month.
Both the films have been produced by Uttam Jain and directed by Sanjay Nayak with Sabyasachi Mishra as the lead actor while S. Ranjan has been the cinematographer.
“Censor of two movies in a single day is a very common thing. But censor of two movies of the same producer-director-cinematographer -actor was uncommon.
We are lucky and proud that the record was set by Oriya film industry in the history of Indian cinema,” claimed Sabyasachi, the popular actor.
“We drew the attention of the authorities of the Limca Book of Records and their team verified our claim of the record.
They checked their database and informed us that till date no such category, record or claim exists”, added Sabyasachi.
To break this record, a director have to censor three films in a row on a single day with the same hero, producer and camera man, he pointed out.
