VISAKHAPATNAM: A fascination for the unusual has landed a lover and his prying friends in trouble.

B. Venkata Rajesh, an MBA graduate, of Gopalapatnam fell in love with a girl from the same area.

The duo has been going steady for the past one and a half years. Rajesh is employed as an unskilled labour at the Naval Armament Depot (NAD).

Rajesh used to frequent the beach, parks and other places with his lover.

He reportedly had physical relationship with the girl and nourished a desire to capture the intimate moments on his mobile.

With the permission of his lover, he recorded intimate scenes and stored them in his mobile.

On one occasion, Rajesh went to play with his friends and left his shirt and mobile on the ground.

His close friends learnt that Rajesh had ‘hot scenes’ on his mobile. One of them Rahul Baliga copied the clippings onto his own mobile and subsequently sent them to two other friends.

One of the two recipients, M. Satyanarayana copied the clippings onto a CD and sent it to the girl’s father. Claiming to be a ‘sreyobhilashi’ (well-wisher) of the girl, Satyanarayana reportedly advised the girl’s father to perform the wedding of his daughter with Rajesh failing which he threatened to release the CDs.

The distraught man approached Police Commissioner N. Sambasiva Rao a few days ago and sought his help in tackling the youths who were resorting to blackmail.

The Commissioner entrusted the case to the City Task Force police.

The CTF team led by SI’ s Anand Reddy and Tirupathi Rao got cracking at the case. They arrested the four accused youths and seized the memory chip and the CDs from them on Wednesday.

The accused and the seized material were handed over to the Gopalapatnam police for further investigation.
