CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to set up a new cooperative sugar mill at Bhali village in Rohtak district, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Wednesday. It would have an enhanced crushing capacity and an added feature would be a power generation plant of 16 MW out of which 11 MW would be provided to the State Grid. He disclosed that the mill would also produce refined export quality sugar instead of ordinary sugar. HUDA is financing the cost of the sugar mill to the extent of Rs.100 crore for development and disposal of the old site of the sugar mill. Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Cooperation) Manik Sonawane was directed that the work should be completed within the stipulated time.
