Mumbai: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia on Tuesday expressed confidence that the Government under her leadership would be re-elected in the upcoming Assembly elections in the State.

An emotional Ms. Raje, who was in Mumbai for the ‘mahurat’ of ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’, a film based on the life and times of her late mother Vijaya Raje Scindia, said: “My mother always considered people as her family without any discrimination and I have tried to emulate her ideals in my public life.

I hope that the people would repose their confidence in me just like they did five years ago”.

She said it was a great coincidence that the elections in her State were announced on the day of the film’s ‘mahurat’. Ms.Raje began her speech in Marathi saying Maharashtra was also in her blood. “During my last elections, BJP workers from Maharashtra worked hard for my victory. I am indebted to them.”

BJP General Secretary Gopinath, Munde who is in charge of party affairs in Rajasthan, said the BJP government under Vasundhra Raje would be re-elected. PTI
