BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Thursday endorsed the Integrated Livelihood Programme which is based on the recommendations of the Livelihood Groups constituted at Manthan-2007.

Manthan-2007 was a special two-day workshop organised in January this year at the initiative of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan to build up a team spirit and bring about maximum coordination among different departments of the Government.

At present about 22 self-employment generating schemes are being implemented by various government departments to meet livelihood objectives in the State. Since these were not delivering the desired results for lack of coordination and resources, the blueprint was chalked out for effective implementation of the Integrated Livelihood Programme.
