“Centre considering recommendations of working groups”

Minister cautions people against ‘hollow slogans’

“No need to politicise dual currency system”

Srinagar: The Centre should allocate a special package for unemployed youths in the State, Jammu and Kashmir Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen said on Monday.

“The central government should announce a special package for unemployed youths of the State,” Yaseen, also the Chairman of Peoples’ Democratic Forum, said while addressing a public rally at Ranger-Chadoora in Budgam district. “The PM, during his recent visit to the State, indicated that the Centre is keenly considering the recommendations in this regard made by four of the five working groups constituted by him for Kashmir,” the Minister said.

Mr. Manmohan Singh, during his earlier visit here two years ago, had constituted five working groups to resolve issues pertaining to the State.

In a veiled attack against Peoples’ Democratic Party, Yaseen cautioned people to be “vigilant against the dual policy and hollow slogans of leaders”. “There is no need to politicise the introduction of dual currency system (demanded by PDP leaders). All issues can be resolved by restoring trade links between India and Pakistan.” PTI
