Patna: The main accused in the massacre of 34 people belonging to an upper caste was arrested here on Monday, police said.

Ramesh Yadav, who was arrested by the STF, is an accused in the 1999 caste massacre where Maoists mostly belonging to backward castes attacked Senari village in Jehanabad and shot dead 34 upper caste villagers .

“An STF team arrested Yadav here following a tip-off,” a police source said. Yadav was absconding after the massacre.
