Bhubaneswar: Orissa Lalit Kala Akademi, the apex and autonomous body of the State for fine arts, has announced that it will host 31st State-level annual fine art exhibition in the capital in March next year. It will honour best eight entries in four categories -- paintings, graphics, sculpture and traditional art like pattachitra, palm-leaf engravings and tempera.

Akademi secretary Chandramani Biswal said any artist of the State including amateurs would be eligible to send their entries latest by December 15. There would be no age limit for this competition, he said.

Entry forms would be made available free of cost at the Akademi's office here besides the five colleges of art and crafts at Khallikote, Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Balasore and Keonjhar, he said. The best entries would be selected through a two-tier system.
