JAIPUR: The second unit of 110 MW at the Kota Thermal Power Station in Rajasthan has set a record by operating non-stop at full capacity for 119 days.

According to Kota Thermal Chief Engineer A. K. Purohit on Tuesday, the unit has been running since November 3 last year and producing power at its full capacity.

Both the first and second units of 110 MW each at the thermal power plant have registered better performance than the units with the similar capacity elsewhere in the country.

Mr. Purohit said the second unit was established at Kota Thermal in 1983.
