CHANDIGARH: Ten dependents of those killed in police firing during the Bharatiya Kisan Union agitation in Jind district on May 31, 2002, were handed over appointment letters by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at a function here on Tuesday. They have been appointed as clerks.

The Government had decided in a Cabinet meeting on October 28, 2005, to give appointments to one dependent each of those killed by relaxing age limit and educational qualifications.

Mr.Hooda announced that 18 more persons of Kadama and Manidiari villages would be adjusted in Government service soon.
