The ninth international Anglo-Indian Reunion-2013 will be held here from January 6 to 12, with majority participation likely from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK.

“This is the first time that such a reunion is being held in the city, considered the heartland of the Anglo-Indian community,” according to a spokesman of the Calcutta Anglo-Indian Service Society (CAISS). He said such a reunion was last held in Australia in 2009-10. “We have received confirmation of participation from 850 foreign delegates,” the spokesman added. CAISS is an NGO run wholly for betterment of the Anglo-Indian community, especially in Kolkata.
