In an attempt to strengthen the research infrastructure at the Institute, the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C), announced on Friday a post-doctoral research fellowship from the academic year 2013-14.
“The post-doctoral research fellowship is another important step towards the fulfilment of our mission to promote research excellence. We are looking for fresh Ph.D.s and have made the programme attractive to them,” Anindya Sen, Dean Academic Activities and Acting Director of the Institute told The Hindu .
Five students will be enrolled every year for the programme that provides an opportunity to a researcher to make transition from supervised research to independent research. The duration of the programme will be two years and it will provide an opportunity to researchers to contribute to the theory of management, said IIM-C officials.
