Security forces on Friday foiled a Maoists’ bid to trigger a landmine blast, recovering 100 IEDs and six pressure cooker bombs from Chanderia-Pichhulia road under Dumaria police station area in Bihar’s naxal-infested Gaya district, a police official said.

During a search operation, securitymen comprising CRPF jawans and police, detected the explosives near the road through which the Additional Superintendent of Police Anupam Kumar-led team of securitymen were to pass through for anti-naxal operations, the Magadh range DIG N. Hasnain Khan said. — PTI
