Chandigarh: Heroin worth Rs.16 crore in the international market were thrown from Pakistani territory to the Indian side in Ferozepur district of Punjab, a senior official said.

“Two persons from the Pakistani side threw the Afghan made heroin packets on the Indian side of the fencing...” BSF Deputy Inspector General, Ferozepur Range, Akil Mohammed said.

He said two persons in the Indian side, near a border outpost, were there to receive the heroin which was stashed in 16 packets late on Thursday night.
