CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has sent a proposal of Rs. 10 crores to the Union Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources for setting up a renewable energy training institute at Maharishi Dayanand University at Rohtak, the Deputy Chief Minister, Chander Mohan, said here on Monday.

Solar heating systems were being installed in the 120 delivery huts being set up by the Health Department in the rural areas. Mr.Chander Mohan further said that it was proposed to install solar streetlights in those villages where the population belonging to Scheduled Castes was more than 50 per cent.
