Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Tuesday accused the State government of being “indifferent” towards the health and other crucial services in Hamirpur district following the recent Congress defeat in the Lok Sabha elections.
In a strongly-worded statement, Mr. Dhumal said OPD services in the Hamirpur Zonal Hospital came to a standstill on Tuesday in the absence of doctors on duty. He said a majority of the doctors on duty here were transferred to the Tanda Medical College causing hardship to patients, especially the poor. The hospital caters to nearby areas of Sarkaghat, Dehra, Kangra, Sandhol and Alampur.
Blaming the Chief Minister , Mr. Dhumal said Hamirpur district is being neglected due to political vendetta by the ruling government.
