NABARD and community polytechnic scheme officials agree on a follow-up to the progress of self-employment ventures being undertaken by trainees

BERHAMPUR: The need to get more funds was underlined to provide more employment opportunities to rural youth under the community polytechnic society - a Central Government-sponsored scheme - at the annual general body meeting on Thursday.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of the scheme at the Uma Charan Patnaik Government Engineering School.

Under the scheme, free training is imparted in job-oriented courses like beauty therapy, computers and hotel management and catering.
