Film Society of Bhubaneswar (FSB) has announced its monthly screening schedule for the current month.
The screening will be held during the evenings of March 18and 19 at the Jayadev Bhawan auditorium here, according to an FSB release.
“The first evening will be a special screening. We will be screening the multi award winning documentary film ‘Char No Man’s Land’ made in 2012 by the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India trained film editor. We are glad that the filmmaker will be present during the screening,” the release stated.
The screening will be followed by a discussion and interactive session between the filmmaker and the audience. The screening and the following interactive session with the filmmaker is open to all and not restricted to the members of the FSB.
The rest of the programme for the two evenings will showcase screening of films by internationally acclaimed Ken Loach, a British filmmaker with one of the most extraordinary and inspiring body of work in world cinema.“His work is distinguished by a consistent commitment to social realism along with a deep humanistic vision,” the release said.
Ken has been the recipient of many awards and honours including the Honorary Golden Berlin Bear for his contribution to the world cinema at the Berlin International Film Festival this year.
