Dandapani Moharana, a former soldier of Indian National Army (INA) of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose died at the age of 90 years at Banchadapalli village of Digaphandi block in Ganjam district. He was arrested during the World War II and had been imprisoned in Rangoon jail for around four years. After independence he had taken part in land rights movement against landlords for peasants in Badakhemundi area of Ganjam district.
