In view of the peak period in the State's tourism calendar, Orissa Tourism has framed its festival calendar to attract more tourists to the golden triangle of Puri-Konark-Bhubaneswar.

Sources in the Directorate of Tourism informed that the Puri Beach Festival being hosted by the Puri Hotel Association in collaboration with Department of Tourism would be held from November 23 to 27. It would be followed by the Konark festival of Indian classical dances at the open air auditorium in front of the world heritage site of Konark from December 1 to 5, it added.

As part of the Ekarma Utsav that the tourism department hosts to highlight the tourism potential of the capital city, five major events would be hosted. Toshali national crafts fair - designed after Surajkund crafts mela of Haryana - would be mounted at Janata Maidan from December 15 to 27.
