PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has urged the government to withdraw the stipulated requirement of three years experience for recruiting teachers on contract basis to vacant posts in primary and high schools.
In a press release, the party said the Education Department had recently formed new recruitment rules to appoint teachers on contract basis to vacant posts in primary and high schools. The teachers would receive Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000 a month and should work for a period of three years. The rules have specified that the teachers should have three years experience, the release added.
