NEW DELHI: The Congress Party on Thursday released a list of 46 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections that includes sitting legislators and son of a former Union Minister.
Sanjeev Dariyabadi (Sisamau), Ajay Kapoor (Govind Nagar) and Ranjit Singh Judev (Gharouta), member of the council, have been nominated to contest the April-May polls.
Ajay Yadav, son of former Union Minister Balram Singh Yadav, will be the party nominee from Bharthana.
Reports from the State suggest that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav could be one of the candidates from the constituency.
Meanwhile, there is no clarity whether the Congress would eventually have a poll understanding with the Jan Morcha, which maintained that talks were still on.
