A team of Malkangiri district police on Saturday arrested an employee of Berhampur University, Sankar Majhi in relation to a racket for extraction of money from students in the name of increasing marks in the +3 degree examination of the university. According to Malkangiri Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhileswar Singh, two other persons of Malkangiri district have already been arrested in relation to this case. According to the SP this racket had come to the fore when a student of Malkangiri district had complained that some persons had collected Rs.10,000 from him with the promise to increase marks in his degree examination. A police team from Malkangiri district took Mr. Majhi with them on Saturday for interrogation and investigation.
