MUMBAI: A doctor from the Nagpada Police Hospital here on Friday deposed before a court that the knife seized from the residence of Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, an accused in the sensational Neeraj Grover murder case, can be used to cut a human body.

According to the prosecution, Susairaj and her naval officer fiancé Emile Jerome Mathew had in May 2008 murdered Synergy Adlabs creative head Neeraj Grover after a midnight feud and then cut the body into several pieces before disposing it of in the Manor jungle on the outskirts of the city.

Both the accused are in custody since their arrest in May 2008.

Dr. Shridhar Patil deposed that the knife seized from Maria's house could be used to cut a human body. - PTI
