Key accused in Kodala clash held

Mitu Pradhan, a key accused in Kodala group clash, was arrested in Surat of Gujarat.

It may be noted that violent group clash and rioting at Kodala in Ganjam district occurred in July last. Two persons were lynched and around seventy houses torched during the clash.

According to the Ganjam police, Mitu was arrested in connection with a local case by the Surat police. When Surat police contacted Kodala police station regarding information about the arrested man, it was found that he was the key accused in the Kodala clash who had escaped after the incident.
