JAIPUR: A seven-member delegation comprising representatives of the Election Commissions of Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Philippines arrived here on Wednesday to study the process of the 15th Lok Sabha elections. The visit has been organised under the aegis of the Asia Foundation.

Rajasthan’s Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Zutshi briefed the delegation about the preparations and arrangements for holding the elections in the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies across the State at a meeting in the State Secretariat here.

The delegation visited Bhawani Niketan Schools to witness the functioning of polling parties, which left with the electronic voting machines for the polling booths in various constituencies.

According to an official release here, the foreign delegates will observe the polling process at several polling stations in the Jaipur Lok Sabha constituency on Thursday, when the State goes to the polls in the fourth phase. Asia Foundation Director (India Programme) R.M. Abhayankar accompanied the delegation.
