Highlight achievements, Congressmen told
CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday exhorted Congress workers to disseminate among the people information regarding developmental plans being implemented by the State Government.
Addressing party workers at Hisar, he said this would effectively counter the opposition leaders who were reportedly misleading the people.
He claimed that during the last 32 months, the present regime had not only fulfilled promises made in its election manifesto but had also implementing many other pro-people schemes as well.
Later talking to media persons, he asserted that the State Government had implemented schemes for the welfare of all sections of society. Agricultural production was increasing and the thrust was on promotion of contract farming. A cold chain had been set up so that fruits and vegetables could be preserved longer. Also, horticulture was being promoted and emphasis was on diversification of crops.The law and order situation had improved and there was industry-friendly climate.
“Clear stand on canal”
Lok Sabha MP from Rohtak Deepinder Singh Hooda on Sunday urged two former Haryana Chief Ministers Om Prakash Chautala and Bhajan Lal to clarify their stand on the construction of Hansi-Butana link canal in the State.
Addressing a gathering at village Nahar in Rewari district, Mr.Deepinder Singh, son of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, accused the two former Chief Ministers of allegedly creating hindrances in the construction of the canal.
He asserted that the canal was being constructed to ensure supply of due share of water to 16 districts including Mohindergarh, Rewari, Jhajjar and Gurgaon. He claimed that 99 per cent construction of the canal had been completed and it would become functional soon.
He also laid the foundation stone of a multi-purpose hall and additional complex to be constructed in the Government College, Nahar. He also launched the works for the development of Nahar as a modern village.
