VISAKHAPATNAM: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will soon introduce a high-speed air-conditioned Volvo bus service to Kolkata from Visakhapatnam and back. Two buses, which are under fabrication, will be deployed in either direction and they will complete the 875- km-long journey in 15 hours.

RTC Visakhapatnam Regional Manager N. Venkateswara Rao told The Hindu that the buses were being introduced as per the inter-State agreement between the Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal Governments. The bus would have stoppages at Berhampur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore and Kharagpur.
