PUDUCHERRY: A km-long greeting card is what the members of the Puducherry unit of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) are planning to present to their ‘Captain’ and party-founder Vijayakant on his birthday, which falls on August 25.
The actor’s fans, partymen and people from all walks of life signed on the cloth banner that was kept near the Gandhi Statue on Goubert Salai.
While some just signed their names, others wished Vijayakant a long life, that he live a 100 years, that he become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and so on. The banner will be taken all over Puducherry and the DMDK plans to collect about 35,000 signatures in the next few days. Party State deputy secretaries R. Selvaraj, Dhanasekar and Kamal, inaugurated the greeting collection on Wednesday.
