Keeping in view the cold wave conditions prevailing in the city, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has decided to extend the winter holidays of its primary schools up to January 13.

Delhi Mayor Prithvi Raj Sawhney and Education Committee Chairman Mahinder Nagpal reviewed the prevailing cold condition in the city on Thursday and announced that holidays in all MCD and aided schools would be extended.

The schools were closed for winter vacation from December 25 to January 9. According to the civic body, the cold wave situation would be re-assessed on the eve of the opening date.
