Rain at isolated places

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: HIMACHAL PRADESH: Theog 1, EAST UTTAR PRADESH: Kiamganj 1 and WEST UTTAR PRADESH: Hasanpur 1.

TEMPERATURES:

MAXIMUM: The maximum temperatures fell appreciable in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, fell in Haryana, rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. They were largely below normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 37.0ºC recorded at Erinpura Road (Rajasthan).

MINIMUM: The minimum temperatures fell in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 13.0ºC recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 26th October 2010: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.
