Mainly dry weather
The southwest-monsoon has been active over Uttarakhand. The withdrawal line of South-west monsoon continues to pass through Kalpa, Hissar, Jodhpur and Nalia.
Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places over Uttarakhand, at a few places over west Rajasthan and at isolated places over Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry over rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: (3 cm. and above) HIMACHAL PRADESH: Dharamsala 7 and Palampur and Dharampur 5 each, EAST RAJASTHAN: Kushalgarh 10, Sajjangarh 8, Sallopat and Kota 6 each and Chikli and Vallabhnagar 3 each, WEST RAJASTHAN: Barmer 5, Sindri 4 and Sedwa 3, WEST UTTAR PRADESH: Orai 3 and UTTARAKHAND: Ranikhet and Karanprayag 3 each.
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE: The maximum temperature rose in east Rajasthan, fell appreciably in Uttarakhand, fell in Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly below normal in Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Haryana, below normal in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and normal over rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 35.5ºC recorded at Bikaner Airport and Sriganganagar (Rajasthan). MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE : The minimum temperature changed little over the region. They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttarakhand and normal in rest of the region.
