Rain at many places

RAINFALL: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places over Jammu and Kashmir.  Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places over Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.  Weather was mainly dry over rest of the region.

MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES: The maximum temperatures rose in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 38.3ºC recorded at Churu and Bikaner Airport (Rajasthan).

MINIIMUM TEMPERATURES : The minimum temperatures changed little over the region. They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and normal in rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 13.5ºC recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).     

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 23rd March 2013: Rain/thundershowers may occur at one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir during next 48 hours and increase thereafter. Rain/thundershowers may occur at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and at one or two places over Punjab, north Haryana, Delhi and Uttarakhand on 23rd.

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 23rd March 2013: Mainly clear sky.   Mist in the morning.
