RAINFALL: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

MINIIMUM TEMPERATURES : The minimum temperatures rose markedly in Punjab, rose appreciably in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, rose in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were largely above normal in Punjab, markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 07.5ºC recorded at Ballia and Orai (Uttar Pradesh).       

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 04th FEBRUARY 2013: Rain/snow would occur at one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 24 hours and at many places thereafter with isolated heavy falls over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during  4th to 6th February.  Rain/thundershower would occur at one or two places over Punjab and Haryana on 3rd February. Rain/thundershower would occur at many places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh  and Rajasthan during  4th to 6th February with peak intensity  on 4th and 5th February. Thunder squall accompanied with hailstorm may occur at one or two places over Jammu divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh on 4th and 5th February.

WARNING: Fog/dense fog would occur over some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours.  Isolated thunder squall accompanied with hailstorm may also occur at one or two places over Jammu divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during 4th and 5th February.

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 04th FEBRUARY 2013:  Partly cloudy sky becoming generally cloudy sky from tomorrow afternoon onwards. Fog in the morning.
