Cold wave conditions are prevailing in some parts of Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Cold day conditions are prevailing in some parts of Punjab.

 Weather was mainly dry over the region.

MINIIMUM TEMPERATURES: The minimum temperatures changed little over the region.  They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 0.0ºC recorded at Narnaul (Haryana).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 7th JANUARY 2013: Weather would be mainly dry over the region. Fog conditions would occur in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan during morning hours.  

WARNING: Cold wave conditions would occur in some parts of Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during the next 48 hours. Cold day conditions would occur in some parts of Punjab during the next 48 hours.

Ground frost would occur in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during the next two nights. Dense fog (Visibility less than 200 meters) would occur in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.   

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 7th JANUARY 2013: Mainly clear sky. Fog in the morning hours.
