Rainfall

 Rain/snow has occurred at most places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at many places over Jammu and Kashmir.  Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places over Haryana, at a few places over west Uttar Pradesh and at one or two places over Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh.  Weather was mainly dry over rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitations are: Jammu and Kashmir: Bhaderwah 1 and Uttarakhand: Mukteshwar and Tehri 1 each.

MINIIMUM TEMPERATURES: The minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand, fell in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and rose in east Uttar Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Rajasthan, below normal in Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 04.5ºC at  Nazibabad  ( Uttar Pradesh).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 14th DECEMBER 2012: Rain/snow would occur at one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 24 hours and increase thereafter.  Rain/thundershowers may occur at one or two places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh from 13th onwards.    Mist/shallow fog may occur in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh during morning hours.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Heavy rain/snow may occur at one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on 13th.       

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 14th DECEMBER 2012: Mainly clear sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning.
