The Delhi High Court will pronounce judgment on a petition by a non-voluntary organisation submitting that the Capital's private school were admitting kids below four years in nursery in violation of the Court's direction of 2007 and the recommendations of the Ashok Ganguly Committee on Friday.

A Division Bench of the Court comprising Justice A. K. Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw will pronounce the judgment at 2-15 p.m.

‘Violation of law'

The petitioner through its counsel Ashok Agrawal submitted that the admission of kids below four years in nursery was also a violation of the Delhi Education Act 1973 which says that there should be only one year of pre-primary education before a kid is admitted to Class I.

The minimum age for admission to Class I is five years, the petitioner submitted.

The petitioner alleged that the Government was not enforcing the recommendations of the committee as well as the Court orders.
