The Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar, has inked pacts with two private sector companies for production and marketing of maize hybrids and milk urea detection kit developed by its scientists.

CCSHAU Vice-Chancellor K.S. Khokhar said Kamboj Experts had been granted non-exclusive licence for production and marketing of four maize hybrids--- HQPM-1, HQPM-5, HM-4 and HM-5.

Milk urea kit

According to him, another private sector company -- D.K.S. Inc. -- had evinced interest in the milk urea kit developed by varsity scientists. Before granting non-exclusive licence to this firm, the HAU would guide and train company representatives in the development and marketing of this kit for which an agreement has been signed.

Earlier, the university had granted similar licences to Green Gold Seeds, Adventa Seeds, Shakti Vardhak Seeds, Micro BAC India and Azad Engineering for production and marketing of maize hybrids, oilseeds, bajra hybrids, liquid bio-fertilizers and awla pricking machine respectively developed by the varsity scientists.
