Tata Power vocational centre opens in Rohini

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited opened its sixth vocational-cum-educational centre at JJ colony Indira camp in Rohini on Saturday.

The new centre was inaugurated by Raj Kumar Chauhan, Minister of PWD, Land and Building Department, Welfare of SC/ST and Employment.

This centre will be run in association with Ank, a non-government organisation, and will impart vocational training in electrical course and give tutorial classes for the students of Class III to VII. The vocational course offered at the centre is Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) certified; JSS is a scheme started by the government to focus on education of the economically weak and illiterates under the National Literacy Mission. - Staff Reporter
